An elevator and handicapped parking is available.

Services:
Driver's license, ID cards, file lawsuits for Circuit and District Court, pay fine and court costs; Mondays, District Court begins at 1 p.m. for Juvenile and Disabilities. Tuesdays, District Court begins at 9 a.m. with Preliminary Hearings at 10:30 a.m. Domestic Violence, Small Claims, Civil and Probate are at 1 p.m. Circuit Court and Domestic Relations Commissioner are the first and third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m.

Drivers License Information:
Mondays Only: Skills tests are by appointment only. The written test is from 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.

The Kentucky State Police no longer supplies driver’s manuals. You can obtain one from the Breckinridge County Public Library or on the Transportation Cabinet's website.
 
Requirements to apply for drivers permit:

  • Certified state issued birth certificate
  • Unlaminated social security card
  • Under 18 years of age – a legal parent
  • Over 18 - proof of address.
  • “No Pass, No Drive” school verification form.

Road Tests are given on Monday by appointment only (please call to make an appointment). You need to print and bring a verification letter.

Motorcycle Road Tests are given at 11 a.m. the first and third Monday of the month by appointment only.

Requirement for transferring license from another state - license from another state (not expired), unlaminated social security card - proof of address (new checks, bill, house contract or lease agreement) and current license.

Cash, money order or certified check are accepted. Mastercard and Visa are accepted through VitaCheck.
