Directions:
Take I-75 approximately 40 miles south of Cincinnati or approximately 45 north of Lexington. Go 1/4 mile to U.S. 25 and turn left one mile. Turn left and park behind or to the right of the courthouse. The Office of the Circuit Court Clerk is in the basement.

Information for Patrons with Special Needs:
An elevator is on the basement floor in the back of the building. The courtroom is on the 2nd Floor. Translators need to be notified one week in advance.

Drivers License Information:
Permit tests are given on Fridays from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. Bring social security card, certified copy of birth certificate and a parent. Call the office to schedule a time on Friday mornings to take the road test. Name changes must be made with the Social Security Office first. Please bring proof of your physical address; a piece of mail under 90 days old or a statement from the postmaster.

Effective August 1, 2007, the No Pass/No Drive Law will be implemented. When a sixteen or seventeen year old comes to obtain an instruction permit or license, a school enrollment verification form must be presented verifying that the student is in compliance with KRS 159.051. If they do not present the form, they will not be eligible to obtain an instruction permit or license. This law affects students in public and private school as well as students being schooled at home.

Forms of Payment Accepted:
Cash, certified checks, and money orders are accepted. Cash, certified or cashier's checks are accepted on bonds.
