Directions:
From Western Kentucky Parkway: Take Exit 4 to 62 W. and turn right at the first stop light in Eddyville (across from the Outlet Mall), on Main Street. The Lyon Judicial Center is one block off Highway 62. From I-24: Take Exit 40 to 62 E., turn left at the second stop light on Main Street.

Parking:
Parking is available on Main Street, Commerce Street and the courthouse parking lot. Handicap parking is available on Commerce Street and the courthouse parking lot. The only public entrance into the building is between the courthouse building and the Judicial Center. Sidewalks and ramps are off Main Street and Commerce Street. This is the only public entrance into the building. Security guards and a metal detector are at the entrance. The Circuit and District Court Clerk's Office is on the right after entering the building. The Circuit Courtroom is directly in front of the entrance. Our District Courtroom and the Law Library are on the lower level of the building.

After hour appointments are available for persons needing to renew their drivers license and are unable to come during normal business hours.  Please call the office and we will be happy to accommodate your schedule.  It is our desire to make this office available to the Lyon County Citizens that we serve.

Holidays/Closings:
Closed for all state holidays.

Information for Patrons with Special Needs:
An elevator is available to the lower floor. Restrooms are on both floors. Interpreters will be provided as needed for court.

Services:
Maintain all court records; Issue Driver License and Photo Identification and accept driver license reinstatement fees; Provide official Administrative Office of the Court forms for domestic violence, small claims, small claims booklets, probate, name change, evictions, disability, mental health, juvenile and application and affidavit for hardship license; Reader Terminal available for research for records 1994 to present, index cards for prior years; Circuit Court records available from 1978 to present; Order books available for prior years, records have transferred to Kentucky Archives; Provide forms provided by the Court for Motion to Review Visitation and Motion to Review Child Support; Also, provide copies of visitation guidelines and Circuit Court Local Rules; Jury summons and other matter related to jury service; Accept payment of fines and court costs on citations.

Driver's license manuals and commercial driver's license manuals are available online at the Kentucky Transportation web site or a hard copy may be checked out from the Lyon County Public Library or from the Lyon County High School library.

Special Programs:
Trust for Life Organ Donation Program; Circuit Court Divorce Cases: Proof of counseling for the couple required. Parenting Class for parents of minor children and Kids Time Class for children ages 5-15 are required. Proof must be filed with the court prior to the granting of the divorce. Classes are the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Lyon County Judicial Center. Art Exhibits are in the lobby of the Lyon County Judicial Center. Lyon County Art Guild displays art by local and other artists throughout the year. Original artwork by Ray Harm has been one featured exhibit. The focus is on the many talented community artists and the high school students. The Circuit Courtroom has a large mural that depicts the Old Eddyville Lock and Dam before the impoundment of Lake Barkley. Local artists painted the mural. The public is welcome to visit during business hours.

Cash, certified check or money order U. S. dollars are accepted. No Com checks are accepted. We cannot accept credit card payments or online payments.
