Information for Patrons with Special Needs:
There is a ramp at the front door and elevator access from the basement floor.

Services:
Research old court records, pay fines, sign up for state traffic school, all court information, pay restitution, post bonds, file all district/circuit documents, small claims, issue drivers license, CDL, permits, ID cards, provide all jury information

Drivers License Information:
Written permit test (including motorcycle) is on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. CDL testing is on Thursday at 8 a.m. You must sign up and pay fees by Tuesday at 4 p.m.

Special Programs:
Trust for Life Organ Donation Program; Home of Pro Se Divorce Clinic. This is a pilot project designed to assist residents of Montgomery County with no children in uncontested divorce proceedings. Call 859-498-5966 for more information.

Forms of Payment Accepted:
Cash, money orders, checks (checks will be held ten days to see if cleared at bank)

Other Information:
Circuit Court: Motion Days are the first Friday of the month. Div. I - Domestic at 9 a.m. Second Friday of the month Div II- Civil at 9 a.m, Criminal at 1 p.m., and Grand Jury. Third Friday of the month Div. II- Domestic at 9 a.m. Fourth Friday of the month Div. I - Civil at 9 a.m. Motions must be filed one week prior to motion day, must include Judge on certificate of service. Exception: motion to dismiss/summary are not noticed for date certain, but a reply to motion is required within 20 days from date on certificate, then submitted to the Judge. We have the ELP program in Montgomery Co. Rules of ELP are available upon request. Standard visitation schedule is available upon request. Div. I Judge Mains, P.O. Box 855, Morehead, Ky. 40351, Div. II Judge Maze, P.O. Box 1267 Mount Sterling, Ky. 40353. No appearance necessary on default judgments if noticed for date certain, and copy sent to all parties/Judge. District Court Information: Civil motion days are Monday and Thursday at 9 a.m., Traffic is at 9 a.m., Misdemeanor/Felonies Arraignment are at 9:30 a.m., Juvenile is at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Domestic Violence Wednesday 11 a.m., Small Claims is the first Friday of the month at 9 a.m.
