Drivers License Information:
Written test is given every Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and first Tuesday of every month from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The Kentucky State Police no longer supplies driver’s manuals. You can obtain one from the Ohio County Public Library or on the Transportation Cabinet's website..
Requirements to apply for drivers permit:
- Certified state issued birth certificate
- Unlaminated social security card
- Under 18 years of age – a legal parent
- Over 18 - proof of address.
- “No Pass, No Drive” school verification form.
Road Tests are given on Tuesdays by appointment only (please call to make an appointment). You need to print and bring a verification letter.
Motorcycle Road Tests are given at 11 a.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of the month by appointment only.
Requirement for transferring license from another state – license from another state (not expired), unlaminated social security card.
Requirements for moving from another Kentucky county – proof of address (new checks, bill, house contract or lease agreement) and current license.

Child support cases
It is the intent of this Court that no hearing requiring more than 20 minutes shall be heard on a regularly scheduled motion hour set out above. This rule applies to all cases before the Court including juvenile cases.
If it is anticipated that any hearing will take more than 20 minutes, the parties may contact the Court Administrator (270-298-3433) to obtain a special date for said hearing. In the event that the parties have not obtained a special date, the parties are to certify in their Motions or Responses if the hearing on the Motion will take more than 20 minutes. If any such filing certifies that the time for the hearing will exceed 20 minutes, the parties shall contact the Court Administrator to obtain a special date for hearing the Motion.
