Directions:
Off I-75 take Exit 62 or Exit 59 to Mt. Vernon (Courthouse Annex is on Main Street).

Parking:
Parking is on the side and front of the Rockcastle Annex building. There is a city parking lot across the street in front of the courthouse.

Holidays/Closings:
Closed for all state holidays; Closed all Court of Justice Holidays and all Saturdays that fall on holiday weekends. Also, the City of Mt. Vernon has a fall festival (The Bittersweet Festival) every year and the courthouse usually closes a half day that Friday and is closed that Saturday.

Information for Patrons with Special Needs:
Rockcastle Courthouse Annex is a three-story building. It is equipped with an elevator and handicapped parking is available.

Services:
File civil suits and pleadings; Pay fines; Get driver's license/I.D.

Drivers License Information:
The road test is given on Friday only at 8 a.m. Permit test and written CDL test is given Friday only at 12 p.m. Examiner now requires any person who wants to take the motorcycle road test to pre-register in advance by contacting the Office of the Circuit Court Clerk to sign up.

Forms of Payment Accepted:
Cash, money orders and checks; Cash payment is required for all bail bonds, driver license reinstatement fees and probation/parole fees.

Other Information:
Friday is driver testing day and court day.
