- Review and comment period for 2017 amendments through July 31, 2017
The Supreme Court of Kentucky is asking for comments on the 2017 Proposed Amendments for the Family Court Rules of Procedure and Practice. The amendments include revisions to existing rules, the removal of some rules and the inclusion of new rules.
In 2016, the Supreme Court reconvened its Standing Committee on Family Court Rules of Procedure and Practice to review the FCRPP, which were initially adopted in 2011 and first amended in 2012. The Standing Committee was comprised of judges and representatives from the Kentucky Court of Justice, the Kentucky Bar Association, and several state and private agencies.
The Supreme Court is inviting the public to comment on the proposed amendments during a review period that will end July 31, 2017. The proposed amendments will be also discussed during the Supreme Court Rules Hearing at the 2017 Kentucky Bar Association Annual Convention in June.
Any comments regarding the proposed amendments and any other suggested changes should be submitted in writing to Supreme Court Clerk Susan Stokley Clary at email@example.com no later than July 31, 2017.
