The Department of Administrative Services is responsible for the auditing, property accountability and real property functions of the Kentucky Court of Justice.
Division of Auditing Services
The Division of Auditing Services reviews and assesses the activities, operations, financial systems and internal controls of the court system. Auditing Services also investigates fraud and abuse and ensures that adequate safeguards are in place to protect court system assets.
Division of Facilities
The Division of Facilities oversees capital construction, real property, logistics, court security, printing services and maintenance. The Capital Construction Unit is responsible for managing the new construction and renovation of judicial facilities statewide while the Real Property Unit oversees the operation and maintenance of existing and leased court facilities across the state. The Logistics Unit handles the transport and inventory of court furniture, equipment, surplus property and court records.
The Court Security Unit assists the local Sheriff’s Office in preparing for high-risk trials. The unit also conducts security assessments on all facilities owned, leased and occupied by the court system.
