The Administrative Office of the Courts develops "new" projects in accordance with Court of Justice Rule of Administrative Procedure Part X, Real Property Management Guide, sections I, II, III, and IV.

Section II:
Court Facilities Criteria (May 2007) (492KB-PDF)

This guide establishes uniform space (facility) allowances for activities eligible for supportthrough Administrative Office of the Courts contracts, either totally or in part, from Commonwealth of Kentucky construction funds administered by the AOC. Other Court of Justice facilities required on an infrequent basis, and for which allowances are not specifically provided here, will be established by allowances for similar facilities or will be determined on a case by case basis by the AOC General Manager of Facilities.

This document sets forth design guidance (requirements) to be used in the development of a design for Court Facilities, Court Support Facilities and Administrative Facilities within the Commonwealth of Kentucky, which are supportable, totally or in part, with Commonwealth of Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts funds. It is applicable to all construction projects, including additions, alterations, adaptations, rehabilitations, and conversions.

This guide establishes policy concerning real property management of AOC and AOC-funded buildings and supporting items for Court Facilities, Court Support Facilities and Administrative Facilities within the Commonwealth of Kentucky which are supportable with Commonwealth of Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts funds.
