Kentucky Summit on Children:
2007 Regional Meetings
In late August 2007, the Kentucky Court of Justice hosted the first Summit on Children in Louisville to shine a light on how Kentucky courts can improve services to our children. The tremendous success of this unprecedented gathering set the stage for the next step in the process — hosting regional meetings to gather input from local communities.
The Department of Juvenile Services of the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) will host nine regional meetings to obtain information on court procedures, legislation and services pertaining to child maltreatment and juvenile delinquency. We are inviting local judges, court officials, attorneys, social workers, juvenile justice practitioners, volunteers and other relevant parties to discuss the problems surrounding the child welfare system and how best to solve them.

Meetings are scheduled in each of the nine service regions designated by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. To locate the meeting for your area, access a map of the service regions. CLE/CEU credits are available for this program.
