House Bill 1, passed by the 2018 General Assembly, provides some of the broadest reforms to Kentucky’s child welfare system in recent history. The bill was the result of months of bipartisan effort and agency collaboration with the goal of improving the child welfare system. The bill made numerous changes to child welfare laws and policies.
